Converte is a free file conversion tool that runs entirely inside the user’s browser. The site is funded by advertising.

The service is provided free of charge and requires no registration, subscription or payment.

Legal framework

This site is governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic, in particular Law 126-02 on Electronic Commerce, Documents and Digital Signatures, and Law 358-05 on Consumer Protection.

Regarding personal data, Law 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data applies, as does Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) in respect of visitors resident in the European Union, pursuant to its Article 3(2).

Intellectual property

The design, text, code and graphic elements of converte.top belong to its owner, except for the third-party libraries used, which are governed by their respective open-source licences.

The files you process remain yours at all times. Because conversion runs on your own device, we never acquire any right over them, nor could we, since we never receive them in the first place.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". Although the tools are tested carefully, there is no guarantee that a conversion will suit every case or that the result will be free of errors.

Always keep a copy of your original files before converting them. The owner accepts no liability for data loss arising from use of the service.
