Your files are not processed. At all.

Converte converts files without uploading them anywhere. The file you pick is not transmitted to our servers or to a third party, and the result reaches you without passing through either.

No file is ever transmitted to our servers. We do not store them, analyse them, retain them, or see them. There is no deletion period because there is nothing to delete: when you close the tab, the file and the result vanish from browser memory.

This is not a promise about what we do with your files afterwards: it is that we never hold them in the first place.

What data is processed

Technical connection data. Our hosting provider automatically logs the IP address, browser type and access time, as any web server does. These logs serve security and technical diagnostics.

Preferences stored on your device. We store your language, your light or dark theme preference and your cookie decision. They live in your browser local storage and are sent nowhere.

Analytics, only if you accept. With your consent, Google Analytics collects aggregated, anonymous data about which pages are visited, so we know which tools to improve.

Advertising. We show Google AdSense ads. If you accept advertising cookies, Google may use them to personalise those ads. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised.

The reports you send us

From the tools you can send us a report if something failed or if a feature is missing. It is the one place on the whole site where information about you does reach us, so it is worth being precise about what gets sent.

We store: the text you write, your email only if you choose to leave it, the tool you wrote from, your language and your browser version, which helps us reproduce the problem. Also a code derived from your IP address through an irreversible function, used solely to stop automated mass submissions; that code cannot be turned back into the original IP.

Your file is not sent. Not even its name. Only the text you write travels.

The legal basis is your consent: nothing is sent until you fill in the form and press the button. Reports are reviewed manually once a month and kept while the problem they describe is still open, for a maximum of 24 months.

No report changes the site automatically. What you write is text a person reads; first we check the problem reproduces, and only then do we fix it.

Legal basis

Processing of technical data rests on the legitimate interest of keeping the site secure and functional.

Analytics and personalised advertising rest solely on your consent, which you can give or refuse in the cookie notice and withdraw at any time.

Third parties involved

Hostinger, as web hosting provider.

Google Ireland Limited, through AdSense for advertising and Analytics for measurement, whenever you have given consent. Their policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

These providers may process data outside your country of residence. Google relies on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission for international transfers.

How long data is kept

Technical server logs are kept for the period set by our hosting provider, typically a few weeks.

Analytics and advertising cookies follow the periods listed in the Cookie Policy.

Your preferences stay on your device until you clear your browsing data.

The reports you send us are kept while the problem described is still open, for a maximum of 24 months from submission.

Your rights

Under Dominican Law 172-13 you have rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection over your personal data.

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR additionally grants you rights of erasure, restriction of processing, portability and not to be subject to automated decisions.

To exercise them, write to privacidad@converte.top. We will reply within the legally prescribed period.

If you believe your request was not handled properly, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Minors

This site is not specifically aimed at minors and does not knowingly collect data from people under 14. Since there is no user registration, we neither request nor store identifying data from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If we amend this policy we will update the date in the footer. Substantial changes will be announced visibly on the site.
